The Kodiak K6 Tracked Fire Fighting Vehicle is designed for stability, simplicity & ease of use.  Equipped with a either a 1-man or a 2-man open or closed ROPS certified cab and a 96”L xx 96”W flatbed deck.  The skid type fire package mounts a 300, 500 or 600 gallon water tank and is available as a Low Pressure System with a 10 gallon foam cell, a Low Pressure System with CAFS, a Switchable High Pressure/Ultra-High Pressure System or an Ultra High Pressure Pyrolance System (HY/LO).   The skid system can be either gas or diesel powered.  All the skid systems are also drafting capable.  A GFS 75 Terra Torch with 12-volt GelGun can also be mounted.

The Kodiak K6 TFFV comes with a flatbed deck.  The cab (open or closed) is ROPS certifiedFOPS Certification can be added by changing the aluminum escape hatch to steel.  Air conditioning is available as are cab spray nozzles to cool the closed cab front windshield.

The Kodiak K6 Crawler Carrier one piece 24″ wide steel reinforced track with patent pending walking beam with double twin rocker bogey wheel suspension provides for a very robust unit with a low center of gravity and puts more track on the ground giving the unit excellent traction.  This low cost one piece track is the same track as used on many construction crawler carriers and is easily replaced if necessary.  Track life is estimated at 1,000+ hours depending on ground conditions.  Some of our clients have had as many as 8,000 hours on this type of track.

The patented walking beam with double twin rocker bogie wheel suspension keeps the track in full contact with the ground and absorbs impacts thus allowing for a smoother ride and increased comfort for the operator.  Active tensioning maintains track tension while negotiating variable terrain.  The tensioning wheel extends or retracts to compensate as the walking beam position changes while traversing different slopes and terrains

The Kodiak K6 TFFV mounts a Tier 4 engine as per EPA mandate and DEF tanks are installed.  The 134 HP Deutz AG electronic engine which combined with the completed unit weight of approximately 16,000 lbs (unloaded) gives a greater power to weight ratio than any other crawler carrier in this weight class.  The difference when climbing hills in your area will be noticeable.  The Kodiak K6 TFFV is transportable on a 10 ton dove tail or a standard 10 ton construction trailer as used for excavators or back hoes.
